The equities market started trading in bullish mode before a clawback around mid-day as the war continues to escalate with two tankers on fire in the strait and a number of different attacks in Gaza, WestBank, Jordan etc that threaten to derail the MOU for the ceasefire completely
By the end of the trading day most of the gains in the indexes from the day have been wiped out as news comes out of missile interceptions in the middle east.
The earnings season has begun, and a lot of eyes will be on quarterly profits to see how companies were able to deal with the inflationary pressures, increased premiums, and a decline in consumer activity.
