The market started off brightly up almost a 100bp at the open and this led to a flurry of activity as investors had to sit out Friday trading due to labour day, but the momentum could not be kept as investors started taking in profits or stopped trading which led to a low volume.
Consumer sentiment also seems to be low but the ASEAN markets have made concrete efforts and are now divesifying their energy mix to not be dependent on oil that comes from the Strait of Hormuz shifting to Libra, Brunei, and other suppliers.
