A large majority of traded equities in the overall market decreased in value as returns were negatively skewed with a large concentration of equities losing between 0-2% in value but large losses were limited on the exchange.
The positive returns have a longer tail with a good number of equities that gained more than 4% in value in the trading session.
WTL pushed up the communication sector with almost 170mn shares traded as overall traded on the equities market neared the 400k mark. The second most traded equity on was KEL which was only 40mn!.
