Roughly 50% of traded equities increased in value at close of trading with 41% decreasing in value which was reflected in the major indices which closed at double the rate of their open deltas but overall market participation was down along with liquidity with major activity being driven on KEL and HASCOL.
The return patterns show similarities outside of the tails.
Given the high turnover on HASCOL and KEL no surprise that Utilities and Energy had big days.
